Ok, ok. It’s just a fancy way of making chicken nuggets sound like an Italian pasta dish. But, it’s actually really good and kids love it too.
We didn’t have the ingredients on hand to make meatballs or any sausage on hand to slice up in the sauce (which is by far my favorite), but we did have chicken nuggets on hand.
My husband was really skeptical at the suggestion of putting chicken nuggets in this dish. I know, the horror. Right?
Then, he said, “Well, I guess it would be like having chicken parmesan over pasta. Wouldn’t it?”
So, in a nutshell, we topped our pasta off with some chicken nuggets, that we heated in the oven, covered it all in spaghetti sauce and sprinkled it with Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese.
Oh, and who can forget garlic bread? We had a side of “5 Italian cheese” frozen, garlic bread we bought at the store.
Really fancy, huh? I think I’ll have to start lifting my pinky while drinking my coffee tomorrow morning.
